The Shreveport Choice Neighborhood Initiative is a local strategy seeking to revitalize the Allendale, Ledbetter Heights, and West Edge communities through community-driven and responsive planning, as well as catalytic investments in housing, economic development, and supportive services.

The initiative is rooted in a Transformation Plan, which was developed by residents and community stakeholders in 2013. The initiative is supported by a $24.2 million U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Choice Neighborhoods Implementation grant awarded in 2018.
